The short answer
Your first visit to Novaderma Aesthetics is a £50 consultation lasting up to an hour. Helena Casales-Arregui, a registered nurse, takes a thorough medical history, listens to what has brought you in, and gives you an honest view of what will and will not help. You leave with a bespoke plan, and nothing is injected until you have had time to think.
Why the consultation comes first
Most people who come to Helena are not looking for a different face. They have noticed a line that has started to settle, or skin that looks tired by mid-afternoon, and they want to look refreshed rather than changed. Getting there safely depends on understanding your skin, your health and your priorities before any treatment is chosen.
The consultation is also a clinical requirement. Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine, provided only after a face-to-face consultation and prescription in line with NMC and MHRA requirements. The same applies to related treatments such as masseter injections for jaw clenching and hyperhidrosis treatment. No responsible practitioner can provide them by message or over the phone.
What happens in the hour
The appointment follows a simple shape. It starts with you, moves to your history, and ends with a plan.
Your concerns. Helena asks what you have noticed, when it started and what you would like to change. Some people arrive with a clear request. Others simply feel their skin has lost its glow, or that they look more tired than they feel. Both are useful starting points.
Your medical history. This part is thorough on purpose. Helena asks about current medications, allergies, previous cosmetic treatments, skin conditions, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and any medical conditions that might affect treatment. Honest answers here protect you.
Assessment. Helena looks at your face at rest and in movement, and at your skin quality in good light. With your permission, she may take clinical photographs for your record.
Your plan. You talk through the options together, including doing nothing for now. Helena explains what each treatment does, what it costs, how long results tend to last and what the downsides are.
A plan sequenced as a journey
Helena designs and sequences treatments as a journey rather than a list. Skin quality often comes first, because healthier skin makes every later treatment look better. Anti-wrinkle injections might follow to soften lines that have started to settle. Dermal fillers or collagen-stimulating treatments come later, if they belong in the plan at all.
The order matters for timing too. Skin-regeneration courses such as polynucleotides or Profhilo need at least three months to show their full effect, while anti-wrinkle injections are reviewed at two weeks. Sequencing around those timelines gives you a realistic picture of when you will see change. It also helps you think about price as an investment spread over time rather than a single bill.
Results vary between individuals, and Helena will say so. A good plan is honest about that.
What to bring, and how booking works
- A list of your current medications and supplements, including anything bought over the counter.
- Details of any previous aesthetic treatments, with dates and product names if you know them.
- Photo ID if you look under 25. Novaderma Aesthetics treats adults aged 18 and over only.
- Your questions. Writing them down beforehand means nothing gets forgotten in the room.
Arrive with clean skin if you can, and allow the full hour so nothing feels rushed.
The consultation fee is £50. You can book by phone or WhatsApp on 07939 973033, by email at info@novadermaaesthetics.com, or through the contact page. Clinic hours at Marylebone are Thursday 17:00 to 19:00, Friday 09:00 to 19:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 19:00.
If you need to cancel or move your appointment, please give at least 2 days’ notice in line with the clinic’s terms. This keeps the time available for someone else.
No pressure, ever
Some consultations end without a booking. You might decide to start with skincare, wait a few months, or simply take the plan home and think. That is a perfectly good outcome. Helena would rather you feel informed and unhurried than treated on the day. When you are ready, the plan is there.
If you want to know more about how the clinic keeps treatment safe, read the guide to safety and standards. If you have already booked treatment, the aftercare guide explains what to expect afterwards.
In short, a first consultation with Helena is an hour of careful listening, a thorough medical history and an honest plan. Prescription-only treatments follow a face-to-face assessment and prescription, never a message. Bring your medication list and your questions, and expect a plan that treats your face as a journey rather than a transaction.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a consultation at Novaderma Aesthetics?
A first consultation costs £50 and lasts up to one hour with Helena Casales-Arregui, a registered nurse. It covers your concerns, a thorough medical history, an assessment of your skin and a bespoke plan. There is no obligation to book treatment afterwards, and many people take the plan home to consider.
Can I have anti-wrinkle injections at my first appointment?
Not usually. Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine, provided only after a face-to-face consultation and prescription in line with NMC and MHRA requirements. Your first appointment is where that assessment happens. Once a prescription is in place, treatment is booked as a separate appointment at a time that suits you.
What should I bring to my consultation?
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, details of any previous aesthetic treatments, and your questions. Photo ID helps if you look under 25, as the clinic treats adults aged 18 and over only. Arrive with clean skin where possible and allow the full hour so nothing feels rushed.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please give at least 2 days' notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment, in line with the clinic's terms. You can do this by phone or WhatsApp on 07939 973033 or by email. Giving notice keeps the appointment time available for someone else who needs it.
