What to expect from a Sunekos course

Consultation & preparation

Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen and fish oil supplements for 24 to 48 hours before treatment to reduce bruising, unless prescribed. Arrive with clean skin and no makeup or eye products on the area being treated. Tell Helena about any medicines, supplements or previous treatments at your consultation.

What is Sunekos and how does it work?

Sunekos pairs a light hyaluronic acid with a blend of amino acids including glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-valine and L-alanine. Hyaluronic acid draws water into the skin and gives immediate hydration. The amino acids give the fibroblasts the raw materials they need to build new collagen and elastin, which is the part of the effect that develops over the weeks after each session. Because the gel is not cross-linked, it integrates into the tissue rather than sitting as a shape.

What happens at my appointment?

New clients begin with a consultation of up to an hour: your concerns, a thorough medical history and an honest view of whether Sunekos is the right choice for your skin. At each treatment appointment Helena cleanses the area and applies numbing cream. She then places a series of very small injections across the skin, with particular care under the eyes. A session takes around 30 minutes and you can go straight back to your day, avoiding makeup and heat for the rest of it.

How many sessions, and when will I see the result?

The standard course is three sessions, two weeks apart, with a fourth added for more advanced skin changes. Most people notice better hydration within a week or two of the first session. The improvement in fine lines, texture and the tired look under the eyes builds across the course as new collagen and elastin form. Helena asks you to allow at least three months for skin regeneration before judging the result. A maintenance session every six to eight months holds the effect.

Aftercare

Leave the treated skin free of makeup and avoid rubbing it for 12 hours. Skip saunas, steam, intense exercise and alcohol for 24 hours. Small bumps, redness or a bruise under the eyes usually settle within one to three days, and Helena remains contactable if you have questions.

What is the difference between Sunekos and Profhilo?

Both are injectable treatments for skin quality rather than volume, and both use hyaluronic acid. Profhilo relies on a high concentration of hyaluronic acid alone.
